Tools & Libraries

I once thought I'd have the time or energy to contribute to some of these projects. But now I just track their progress.

• uClibc - The way to make software smaller and faster
• Toybox - Rob Landley's version of small linux tools. I prefer his stuff over Busybox
• Xynth - A smaller, faster, featureful, more portable windowing system. Hopefully will displace Xorg one day.
• Dillo - A browser that should probably just give up since we now have Webkit. But it was a great tool 5 years ago.

Operating Systems

I long for something more stable and more elegantly programmable.

• Menuet OS - Impressive
• ReactOS - A new old Windows. Let's play catch-up.
• Haiku - New BeOS
• Syllable
• Minix3
• Prex - Embedded RTOS
